The San Diego Auto Show is an annual auto show held at the San Diego Convention Center in early January. As other cities and countries, this season seems to be a great time to hold auto show, because at the same time, Taipei also has a auto show going on. San Diego auto show is not a real big auto show, unlike the one in Los Angeles or New York. We planed to watch the auto show and have lunch in downtown, my mood was really good that day because the weather was nice and I was really looking forward to seeing the show.

In the Auto Show.

We headed to downtown at about 10 o'clock, the Auto Show was held in the San Diego Convention Center, which is located in the Marina district of downtown San Diego near the Gaslamp Quarter, there are many luxury hotels and restaurants around it. We parked in the Convention Center underground parking lot, we were actually pretty lucky that day since there were not too many people, it's easy to get in. The Convention Center is huge, it is definitely bigger than the one in Taipei.

The show seems to be pretty professional, there were all kinds of brands, from Toyota to Mercedes-Benz, and they are all original manufacturers. I took many pictures of them, I will put them below, enjoy!

Amazon has a "Mobile theater" in the Auto Show, which is pretty cool because we were sitting in a truck watching movie, and all of us have a new Kindle fire HDX to try! There was a vending machine selling Kindle tablets in the truck as well, we can buy tablet computers directly on that machine!

We then had lunch outside of the Convention Center, in a restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory. This was my first time trying the famous "Cheesecake Factory" restaurant, we sat in the outside area since the weather was really nice. The view is really good, we could see both downtown buildings and the marina. Their food is truly fantastic, no kidding, this might be my favorite restaurant. I ordered a pasta called "fettuccine with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes", the italian food never taste so good, I just love it so much. Nothing more to say, it you have chance to visit any Cheesecake Factory restaurants, you should definitely try their food.

After lunch, we went back to the Convention Center and finish watching the show. We took the test-drive held by Jeep, it was kinda scary since there was a 30 degrees hill to drive on, but their car still successfully did it easily.

The robot show by Ford.

Going down... scary

It's a cool elevator that goes oblique instead of straight-up.

I had a good time in downtown that day, the best part... might be the food.
